I am a trainer, advisor and coach — with over two decades in one of the most demanding environments imaginable. What I learned there, I now translate for people like you: entrepreneurs, executives and ambitious athletes who want to genuinely manage their performance, health and resilience.
Experience sharpens the eye for what matters. What two decades in a high-performance environment taught me: it is rarely the big interventions that make the difference. It is the right details — at the right moment.
Focus only on training and you lose ground in sleep. Optimise only nutrition and you overlook stress. My approach always takes in the whole picture — from strategy to concrete implementation in everyday life.
The fitness world is loud. I move through it with genuine curiosity — and the discipline not to get distracted. What counts are results. Not trends.
"My job is to make the detail —
which is always individual —
visible for you."
— Herbert Schmidt
Alongside my professional work, sport has been a central part of my life since childhood — above all tennis, which I played at a high level for many years and continue to pursue with great passion today. Alongside that: football, strength training and multi-event competition.
I know not only the theory, but the practice: what it means to work on physical performance over years, to deal with injuries and to keep going regardless.
Played at a high level for many years — still pursued with great passion today. Direct work alongside professional players.
Decades of structured training, including first-hand experience with injuries: 2 herniated discs, runner's knee, tennis elbow, shoulder impingement.
Years of playing in a club — the sport that taught me to think as part of a team and under pressure.
My professional background combines training from recognised experts in Europe and the USA — complemented by two decades of practical experience in one of the most demanding working environments.
It is not certifications alone that make the difference, but the ability to apply this knowledge in reality and to contextualise it for each individual.
Everything I know is written down somewhere. In studies, in podcasts, in good books. None of it is secret.
But to truly understand one single topic, you'd have to read several good books. Resolve contradictions. Work out what applies to you and what only applied to the author. Try things. Fail. Start over. That takes years.
That is exactly my work. I've already invested those years. More than twenty of them. Read, tested, discarded, adjusted. On myself and on people who trusted me.
What you get from me isn't the knowledge. You could gather that yourself. You get the shortcut: distilled experience, what works, in what order, for whom. And someone standing next to you when it gets hard.
"A good mentor doesn't sell you information.
He saves you the time of earning it yourself."
— Herbert Schmidt
